The carryover of dust, fibres and other small particles is a major problem in many production plants. Particularly in food production, printed circuit board production, electrical engineering companies and other companies with clean rooms, the introduction of such small particles must be prevented at all costs. We have the ideal solution for this problem in our sortiment with the air shower.
This is a walk-in cabin made of stainless steel with doors made of safety glass. A high-speed propeller reliably blows all tiny particles from the employees' clothing. The injected air is then aspirated together with the particles, cleaned by HEPA filters and lastly returned to the closed circuit. A contamination of clean rooms by the escape of the blown out air is thus impossible. We offer two different versions of our air shower: A version with access control through locked doors for clean rooms and hygienic areas (on request) and the present version with unlocked doors for industrial applications with less strict specifications.

The use of the air shower is extremely simple. When the system is in stand-by mode, an employee can simply open the safety glass door and enter the stainless steel cabin. When the door closes, the cleaning process starts. The high-speed blower (5000 m3/h) blows all fibres, dust and other small particles from the employees' clothing via 7 air valves each in four air columns. The 37 m/s fast air flow, which blows more than 99.9% of the buildup from the clothes, is aspirated through ventilation openings with the blown off dirt particles. The air flow moves in a closed cycle. The aspirated air first flows through two pre-filters, which collect coarser particles, and is then cleaned by an EU 13 HEPA air filter before the air is blown back into the cabin. The HEPA filter captures 99.995% of the particles between 0.3 and 10 microns. If explicitly requested, a HEPA filter of category EU 14 can also be installed.
As a further option, an integrated, automatic sole cleaner can also be purchased on request. In this case, the employee additionally stands on the sole cleaner during the entire cleaning process. All dirt is rubbed off the soles and sole edges by the lateral movement of the special brush strips running against each other. As a result, the employee enters the sensitive production areas not only with perfectly clean clothing, but also with perfectly cleaned shoe soles.
The air shower is available in two different versions. The version with lockable doors (on request) is for companies with high requirements for clean air such as food production and production companies in electrical engineering. The door lock ensures that an employee goes through the entire 20-second cleaning cycle before entering the production area. Of course, the duration of the cleaning cycle and the strength of the air flow can be adapted to the individual needs of each company. The version without door lock is designed for industrial applications with less strict rules, where the employee can decide on the duration of the cleaning himself.
Compared to other air showers, our model stands out above all due to the ingenious workmanship of the interior. All surfaces are completely smooth and made of a single stainless steel sheet. This prevents the formation of air turbulence, which could counteract perfect cleaning. In addition, all electronic components such as cables, propellers, air filters, etc. are physically separated from the inner housing, which further reduces the risk of turbulence and contamination.
Our air shower is delivered in two parts for easy, safe and quick installation. After delivery, the fan and filter components can easily be mounted on the stainless steel cabin. The system is also characterised by extremely low maintenance requirements. Besides the regular replacement of filters and lighting magnets, the air shower rarely requires attention. This is possible due to the robust construction and the use of high-quality components, which give the cleaning device a long service time.
The air shower is ready for connection and can be installed by qualified personnel. The installation is not included in the price.
